Workshops at the Library

Did you know that the library offers workshops that use the online resources available at all of our branch libraries? You can choose from Basic Computer Skills or Genealogy workshops. All workshops are FREE and open to the public. Call or visit your local branch library to find out more or sign up for the next workshop or see our calendar or our list of upcoming workshops.
This class covers beginning computer skills like finding out about the parts of a computer, learning how to use a mouse, beginning to explore & search the Internet, and setting up a web-based e-mail account.

This class covers how to create and save documents with Microsoft Word 2007 and how to surf the Web with Internet Explorer.

This hands-on class features
Ancestry.com Library Edition
and HeritageQuest. During
the class you will learn how to search for census records, immigration records,
marriage, birth, & death records, and military service information to build
your family tree.
(Basic computer experience is preferred.)
