Taking a page from the Staff Bookmark Project, the Reference Librarians have created several bookmarks that spotlight our informative and useful Electronic Resources.  You can try out these resources for yourself if you're in the library or at work, home, or school.

p4a Antiques Database

 

Used by most leading personal property appraisers throughout the United States (including many "Antiques Roadshow" appraisers), antiques dealers, museums, and agencies like the Internal Revenue Service to evaluate almost every kind of antique in today's collections, the p4A Antiques Reference database is focused on the American regional marketplace, featuring the types of material seen locally and regionally at auction and retail outlets.  Records are organized into 1,280 different classifications on subjects including furniture, glass, paintings, prints, clocks, toys, dolls, books, firearms, and much more.  Each record includes information on when and where the item was sold as well as the price realized. Pricing information ranges from $10 into the millions.  Each record has a text description and at least one color picture so you can actually see if the item you are researching closely matches the one described in the database.  Many records also have extensive reference notes attached to provide background and context information.

Auto Repair Reference Center

 

Find information on most major manufacturers of both imported and domestic models from 1954 to 2003. Over 100,000 factory drawings with step-by-step photos and more than 60,000 technical service bulletins and recalls as well as wiring diagrams, specifications and maintenance schedules are included. New repair procedures and updates will be added continuously.
