The Open-Access Text Archive collection is open to the community for the contribution of any type of text, many using Creative Commons licenses. There are many e-book titles available in American Libraries, Project Gutenberg, and several other sub-collections. Check out the IA project Open Library, too.

O'Reilly, a leading publisher of technical and computer-related books, has made available a number of Open Books--books with various forms of "open" copyright.

Library's Accessible Books
This is part of the Internet Archive's collection of books available to the
print-impaired. Many are available in the
DAISY talking-book format or otherwise available in the Open Library.
While most titles are those in the public domain, other are recent works made
available through an exception in copyright that allows works to be copied for
the purpose of making them accessible. Works not in the public domain will
be made available only to qualified readers officially registered with the
Library of Congress's National Library Service
for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (find
out how to register).

WFMU-FM is a listener-supported, non-commercial radio station broadcasting at 91.1 Mhz FM in Jersey City, NJ, right across the Hudson from lower Manhattan.
