Getting Started

E-mail Accounts
Before applying for jobs online you will need an e-mail account. If you don't have one, you can sign up for one on a computer with internet access. You can get online for free using a public computer at any Pamunkey Regional Library. All you need is your library card. You can use a computer at your library for a maximum of two hours per day. Free, web-based e-mail addresses are available from Google's Gmail, MSN's Hotmail, and Yahoo.

Resume Tips & Resources

Create your resume using Microsoft Word using the resume wizard.
Save your resume as a Word document onto your own flash drive. If you don't have one, you can buy one at the library for $10.
Not great with computers? Bring a friend who can type for you. You can sign up for a basic computer class, too!
