The Pamunkey Regional Library Board of Trustees has released its holiday schedule for 2006-2007. All branch libraries will be closed on the following days in 2006 and 2007: Tuesday July 4, Monday September 4, Thursday November 23, Monday December 25, Monday January 1, Friday May 11, and Monday May 28, 2007. Heritage Quest is now available! Search for a variety of genealogical and local historical information online with Heritage Quest, now available in the library and from work, home, or school. (4/28/06)
If you use the library's Electronic Resources when you're at home, work, or school, you've probably seen the databases available at Find It Virginia. The Find It Virginia web site has been updated and enhanced to include the new Power Search option that is made available through Gale. The Power Search enables you to search up to 10 of Gale's databases at one time, including General Reference Center Gold, InfoTrac OneFile, Expanded Academic ASAP, Student Edition, Professional Collection, Computer Database, LegalTrac, Gale Virtual Reference Library, Military & Intelligence Database, and InfoTrac Religion & Philosophy. A more detailed description of the Power Search is available online at www.galegroup.com/Technical/PowerSearch.pdf. You will still be able to select individual databases to search. (1/20/06)
