PRL Connect is a service featuring mobile hotspot and Chromebook lending at Pamunkey Regional Library branch locations.

Hotspot Lending

What is a mobile hotspot? It is a portable device that provides internet access to any Wi-Fi enabled device within approximately 30 feet. Hotspots rely on mobile broadband service from a cellular provider to provide 3G or 4G LTE coverage. This coverage may not be available in all areas. Call or visit your branch library for more information.

Library cardholders can borrow one hotspot at a time for a 14-day non-renewable checkout period.
Hotspots are automatically deactivated if not returned.
All hotspots are now holdable. You can place holds on our website or have library staff assist you.

Chromebook Lending

Chromebooks are available for a 90-day checkout period.
Chromebooks cannot be renewed.
Chromebooks are no longer available as a bundle with hotspots.
Chromebooks must be requested separately.
