Chat, email, and text assistance is available Monday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., excluding scheduled holiday closings. We can:
  • Provide short, factual answers to your brief questions.
  • Provide links to relevant and reliable sites.
  • Assist with the use and enjoyment of our Digital Library.
  • Suggest other sources when needed.

To chat with us online, look for the green "Ask a Question" speech bubble on each page of the website and click it to open a chat window. If a PRL staff member is not available, the speech bubble will say "Email Us."

Reference on Demand (ROD) offers you personalized, in-depth assistance with a Librarian during one hour sessions on topics like computer skills, resume and job search help, and library research skills for all ages. If you have any questions or would like to make an ROD appointment, call or visit the Ashland, Atlee, or Mechanicsville branch libraries or e-mail ask@pamunkeylibrary.org. A Librarian will contact you as soon as possible.
